Who we are
Agent Crab Legs is a service of Elegant Software Solutions, Inc. (“we”, “us”). It lists all-you-can-eat crab-leg deals that we verify by phoning the restaurant, at www.agentcrablegs.com, and sends text alerts to people who ask for them. This policy explains what we collect and what we do with it.
What we collect
- When you sign up for texts: your mobile number, the metro you chose, and a record of your consent: the time, the exact wording you agreed to, and the page you were on. We keep a salted hash of your IP address, not the address itself, to spot abuse.
- When alerts are paid: your subscription status and a Stripe customer reference. Card details go to Stripe and are never stored by us.
- When we call a restaurant: we keep the phone number we called and note what the restaurant tells us about its special. Restaurant calling is currently paused, and we are not placing or recording calls. Some restaurant calls we placed in September 2026 were recorded and transcribed. Before calling resumes, we will update this policy to say whether calls are recorded and what we tell the restaurant at the start of a call.
- When you visit the site: cookieless, aggregate web analytics (page views and referrers). No advertising trackers.
- When you email us: your message and address, so we can reply.
How we use it
To send the texts you asked for and nothing else by text. To verify deals and keep the board honest. To bill subscriptions and handle refunds. To answer you when you write to us. To keep the service safe and to meet legal obligations.
Your mobile number
Mobile information (phone numbers) collected for SMS/text messaging will not be shared or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third parties.
Your number is used only to deliver the Agent Crab Legs messages described in our terms and SMS terms, and to reply when you text us. Reply STOP at any time to stop all texts; reply HELP for help.
Who else sees it
We share information only with providers that run or help us build the service on our behalf. They include: Twilio, which delivers texts and carried and recorded our restaurant calls; xAI, which provided speech recognition, the caller’s voice and call classification for those calls; OpenAI, which provided speech recognition and the caller’s voice for one earlier call; Cloudflare, which relayed the call audio for some earlier calls; Supabase, which hosts our database, including call transcripts; Vercel, which hosts the website; Stripe, which processes payments; and Microsoft Azure, which hosted our calling software, stores recordings of some of those calls, and logged transcript text from some earlier calls. Our team also uses AI coding and analysis tools, including OpenAI’s and Anthropic’s, and GitHub to build and improve the service, and some call recordings, transcripts and excerpts have been processed or stored in those tools. We may disclose information when the law requires it. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.
How long we keep it
- Consent and opt-in records: five years, as messaging rules require.
- Your number and metro: for as long as you are on the list. After you text STOP or cancel, we keep only the record that you opted out.
- Call transcripts: twelve months. Recordings of our September 2026 restaurant calls: we will delete the audio by October 31, 2026, and keep only a written record of what each restaurant told us. Before any future call is recorded, this policy will say how long recordings are kept.
- Billing records: as tax and accounting law requires.
Your choices
Text STOP to stop messages. Text the name of a metro to change yours. Email hello@agentcrablegs.com to see, correct, or delete what we hold about you, and we will respond within a reasonable time. Restaurants that want their listing changed or removed can email the same address or tell us on the phone; do-not-call requests are honored permanently.
Age
The service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and we delete it if we learn we have.
Changes and contact
